COBIT 5.1 from Isaca
Well..these dayss, it realy so interesting to understand some "best practices" such as COBIT, IT Infrastructure Library, COSO, ISO and some other tools of "best practices" and "good practices".
COBIT is an IT governance framework and supporting toolset that allows managers to bridge the gap between control requirements, technical issues and business risks. COBIT enables clear policy development and good practice for IT control throughout organizations. COBIT emphasizes regulatory compliance, helps organizations to increase the value attained from IT, enables alignment and simplifies implementation of the COBIT framework.

Schedule to release in 2011, COBIT 5 will consolidate and integrate the COBIT 4.1, Val IT 2.0 and Risk IT frameworks and also draw significantly from the Business Model for Information Security (BMIS) and ITAF.
When we learn about COBIT 4.1, surveys in Indonesia shows that many government even just implement about 15 which can be decomposed into seven or less, perhaps "culture" in every country which differ form others influenced those proceses. Hem..perhpas, we should take course about COBIT, or even we can follow course to our Lecture Ir. Kridanto Surendro, M.Sc, P.hD Our lecture in Institute of Technology Bandung, because he really a good one in Information System, we enjoy studying with him :)
