Last monday, I attended workshoop at PD Dikti in Jatinangor, sumedang. the first speaker was realy great from Prof. DR. Conducting research is one of the main jobs for a lecturer. The Lecturer usually just conduct the job that's teaching. These days research and conduct community service are main jobs for the lecturer. Applying some paper in national and international journals is one of the researches that can be conducted by Lecturers. Previous ago there was KNSI stands for "Komite Nasional Sistem Informasi" held last month in Bali. so many researchers came to Bali, most of them are Lecturer, beside that some are university students from IS-ITB. I wish I could come there, one of the reasons is about the fee.., Bali is far from Bandung, if there is an institution that cover the fee and accommodation perhaps we should be there. the cost for flight is rather expensive unless we get sponshorships. How to encourage some Lecturers even the students to write their paper. As a matter of fact our Lecrurer (Ir.Kridanto Surendro,M.Sc,P.hD) has already taught us to write some paper, firstly in national paper (Indonesia) and International. Alhamdulillah, have ever write some paper even in National paper. And now, I interested in writing for International Paper, hope..it can run well, Insya Allah. Yesterday..there was a training in Telkom Polytechnic from EBSCO. Ebsco is one of the E-Journal Database Provider like Proquest, IEEE and others. Well.. Guys! about two years ago I attented the meeting which was counducted by Microsoft Indonesia in Parahyang University Bandung. MR Zeddy Iskandar said in India the stdudents of Elementary School studied programming Languange, it is for this reason Their programmers are greater eanough is Asia. But We know, Our Studetns, Exactly the ONes who was a vice of Indonesia to follow contetst in Sanfransisco, Exactly Won Gold Meadal, It's great, isn't it. Even USA that has already been a winner for four times had to agree with UNIKOM's University studetns as Vice of Indonesia to be the Best. So, do you think we can be the winner in IT, yes Offcourse, so one of the ways to create some Great University students is by getting some good Lecturers, and one of the ways to create a good Lecturer is Giving them good sallary and other beneffits, some Government must realize about that :).

Hello Friends, Last January I tried to apply for getting scholarship for Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB). what should I do is to complete all the administrative requirements, I intended to get scholarship which is called BPPS (Beasiswa program pasca sarjana). I am not the clever one to choose ITB as my first choice. My reason to choose ITB is because in Bandung there is no Universities that offer Informatics program except ITB, UPI (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia) and UNPAD (Universitas Padjajaran) just offer for Computer science for Bachelor degree. Last April I took the Entrance test for ITB, might, Alhamdulilah I pass department entrance test and TOEFL or now in ITB it's called EPT (English Proficiency Test), unfortunately I couldn't pass the TPA (test potensi akademik) BAPPENAS, oh dear just 10 point less for passing all the test. what should I do, maybe just to wait for the next text in January 2009, Inysa Allah. Hello..Friends, a week ago, I was asked by my x-boss to teach in his Informatics School. Then I tried to accept his offering. Gee.. I was thinking that it would be easier to teach for students than university students. But absolutely my guess was wrong. Teaching for Students who are still studying in junior or even senior high school, I think is rather difficult. while they were studying, they made a noise, some of them just made a chat with his friend, they spoke loudly,gee they made me dizzy,he..he.. But some of Students who really enjoy studying with me, and it becomes one of my reasons to enjoy teaching them. Maybe I just have to change the way to teach them, we might some time make a joke, telling story, etc. Well.. IF we prepare teaching in University and Senior High School, I think I would rather teach in University.
